Patient Comfort and Technology
We do everything we can to make your visit to our office
comfortable. That includes using the most modern
technologies and techniques and offering the little
extras that can make you feel like a truly honored
guest in our office.
Air Abrasion
If you have a small area of decay, we may use air
abrasion instead of drilling to remove the decay. With
air abrasion, a high powered stream of air, with powder, cleans
the decay from the teeth. We then bond a tooth-colored
filling in place. In the right circumstances air
abrasion is quick, painless and conserves tooth structure.
Digital Imaging
Taking digital photos of your face and your mouth
allows us to give you a good idea of how a dental makeover
could change your smile. We can manipulate the
original image by changing the shape, position or color
of teeth (just as we would with dental treatments)
so you can see for yourself how great you would look
with a brand new smile.
Digital Radiography
Digital x-rays give us a fast and incredibly precise
way of looking into your mouth. They also use 50-90%
less radiation than old-fashioned x-rays.
Digital x-ray technology speeds and simplifies the
diagnostic part of your treatment, providing an image
that is large, clear, and accurate. The digital images
can be reproduced easily for insurance purposes or
referrals.
Intra-Oral Camera
The intra-oral camera allows us to show you what we
see in your mouth right on the computer screen! That
means that when we tell you about a crack or other
problem area in your tooth you’ll be able to
see for yourself what we’re talking about.
The intra-oral camera encourages and allows you to
become a better, more informed partner in your oral
health care.
Lasers
Lasers are a new technology that we can use in the
dental office. Using lasers, we can painlessly
treat the soft tissues of your gums, removing excess
tissues or recontouring your gums to enhance your smile.
Chairside Computers
Having computers at each dental chair helps us keep
you better informed—and it’s more efficient,
too. You can see the images from our intra-oral cameras,
watch videos about dental treatments and even schedule
your next appointment.
Patient Education
Before we begin any treatment, we try to ensure that
you fully understand what’s going to happen and
what the results will be. We use a variety of
patient education materials—photos, videos, brochures
and more—to give you a clear picture of your
dental treatment.
Nitrous Oxide
If you are nervous about spending time in the dental
chair, you may be a good candidate for nitrous oxide
sedation. You inhale nitrous oxide through a small
mask over your nose; you wont’ lose consciousness,
but you will feel very relaxed during your treatment. Nitrous
oxide doesn’t remain in your system, so you’ll
be able to drive and return to your normal routine
as soon as your dental treatment is over.
Sterilization Center
We protect your health through our state-of-the-art
sterilization center and sterilization techniques. Your
safety is very important to us!
