Restorative Services
With today’s modern restorative techniques,
we can not only return your teeth to their optimum
condition—we can make your smile more attractive
than ever, too!
All-Porcelain Crowns, Onlays and Inlays
When your teeth require restorations, porcelain crowns,
onlays and inlays are an attractive choice. Restorations
done with porcelain have a translucent, natural appearance
that keeps your smile looking great. We offer
all custom porcelain restorations determined by the
amount of healthy tooth that you have remaining.
A crown covers and encases the entire tooth and is
the most durable, strongest, most long-lasting way
to restore a tooth with extensive damage. Onlays
are used for large restorations. They restore the area
inside the cusp and extend over one or more sides of
the tooth. Inlays are used to restore the area
of tooth inside the cusps. They require far less drilling
and preparation of the tooth than a metal filling.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
Sometimes patients come to us with neuromuscular problems—their
teeth are severely worn, they’re having problems
with their bites, or they may even be suffering from
headaches related to TMJ difficulties.
To help patients with such problems, all of the doctors
have taken courses in occlusal and aesthetic dentistry
at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced
Dental Studies. Using a combination of restorative
treatments (crowns, veneers, implants, whitening, etc.)
we can completely restore their mouths. After
we’re finished, these patients can chew and speak
without pain—sometimes for the first time in
many years! They have a good reason to show the
world their new, beautiful smile.
Tooth-Colored Restorations
In our office, we use bonded ceramic composite restorations
instead of silver amalgam fillings, which contain 50%
mercury. We feel that these tooth-colored composite
restorations are safer for our patients—and they
look much better too! Composite fillings seal
the teeth better, insulate against hot and cold better,
and if they wear down they can be repaired easier.
Porcelain Veneers
If you have chipped, stained, discolored, unevenly
spaced, or even slightly crooked front teeth, we may
recommend porcelain veneers, which can quickly provide
you with a dazzling smile. These wafer-thin pieces
of porcelain are permanently—and painlessly—bonded
to your teeth; the whole process can be completed in
just a few appointments.
Whitening
Tooth whitening is safe, effective and long lasting—a
great way to brighten your smile. We can provide a
custom home tooth whitening kit, or, for faster results,
we can do in-office whitening. We’ll be glad
to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each
type and which may be right for your particular situation.
Bonding
Dental bonding could be a good alternative if you're
embarrassed about your smile because of decayed, disfigured
or discolored teeth. We can bond a composite resin
(a mixture of microscopic ceramic and glass particles
dispersed in a plastic resin) to your teeth to change
their appearance. The bonding material comes in
a wide range of shades and can be molded and sculpted
to create almost any shape or contour.
Bridges
If you are missing a tooth, a permanent bridge can
often be made to replace it. We make bridges that
look and feel natural and stay in permanently, allowing
totally you to chew and speak normally. A fixed
bridge will also prevent teeth from shifting, and stabilize
your bite.
Dentures & Partial Dentures
We work very hard with you to ensure that your natural
teeth will last a lifetime. Still, there are times
when patients lose all or a substantial number of their
teeth because of decay, illness or accident. If
this has happened to you, we can provide full or partial
dentures that will enable you to look and feel great. You
may also want to consider dental implants (link here)
to keep your dentures in place.
Root Canals
Although many people think of root canals as extremely
painful, the truth is that modern dental techniques
have made this a much easier and more comfortable procedure
for patients.
A root canal treatment helps find and treat problems
of a tooth’s soft core, the dental pulp. The
pulp contains the nerves, blood vessels and connective
tissues. If the pulp becomes diseased or injured—most
often because of a cracked tooth or deep cavity—it
can lead to an abscess, or infection of the pulp. Such
infections can cause bone damage and ultimately the
loss of a tooth.
Dental Implants
Dental implants offer a solid, secure, and aesthetically
pleasing foundation for a replacement tooth or teeth.
An implant is special surgical grade titanium post
that is inserted surgically into the jawbone below
the gum surface. As the bone bonds to the post, it
forms a secure base to which your new teeth can be
attached.
With implants, full and partial dentures and even
individual replacement teeth can feel more comfortable
and function more like your natural teeth.
